BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Mayor Wu announced on Tuesday that Boston Open Streets is coming back this May bigger than before.
The car-free event series is expanding to Hyde Park this year with extended hours.
This year, Open Streets will take place in Dorchester, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Hyde Park, East Boston, and Allston-Brighton starting on May 5 and ending October 20.
“Over the last two years, we have seen Open Streets events transform public streets into shared community spaces where residents can experience the full liveliness of our neighborhoods and small businesses can be supported,” said Mayor Michelle Wu. “We’re thrilled to keep this going this year.”
