BOSTON (WBZ-AM) – Police are investigating an early shooting in Mattapan involving a city employee and his vehicle.
It happened at Mary knoll and Manchester streets before 5 a.m.
Police tell WBZ NewsRadio1030’s Carl Stevens that the victim, a Boston DPW worker, was shot as he was leaving his house to go to work.
The man was in his city issued vehicle, when someone fired at him striking his leg.
Police say they believe he was targeted, and that this was not random.
His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening and there is no additional threat to the community.
