BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — New grads are flocking to careers in the fastest growing industry in the nation—cannabis.
This week, Blunt Talk host Brit Smith talks with Jen Miller of Cultivate Dispensary in Leicester, Massachusetts. Jen graduated college in 2009 and entered the traditional retail industry in Boston, where rent was expensive and the pay wasn’t great. But in 2017 she learned about a marijuana-related retail job in her hometown of Leicester. So, like thousands of Millennials looking for a new promising career path, she transitioned to work in the cannabis industry.
Now she is the Director of Operations for the state’s first recreational cannabis company, and she says Cultivate’s inexperienced young staff are actually their key to success.
