BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston did not declare a snow emergency during this week’s winter storm, therefore space savers were not allowed.
Despite the rule, some Boston residents did leave chairs or other markers in their freshly dug out parking spots Wednesday morning.
If the space savers are not removed, the city might take them and the owners could have to pay a fine.
When a snow emergency is declared those space saving objects can be left out, but must be removed 48 hours after the snowfall ends.
