CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The popular Cambridge bar, The People’s Republik, has closed permanently after nearly two decades in business.
The bar first announced in December they would close temporarily amid the coronavirus pandemic. The bar had posted on their Facebook page that “some things still remain out of our control.”
The People’s Republik is just one of many bars that have had to close temporarily or permanently because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Another popular Cambridge bar, The Field Pub, permanently closed its doors back in July after 25 years.
