PEMBROKE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two former Pembroke High School hockey players were laid to rest on Saturday.
23-year-olds William Hickey and Joseph Birolini were killed in a car accident last weekend.
The funeral started at 11 a.m. and was live-streamed due to coronavirus restrictions.
The service was held at St. Thecla's Church in Pembroke.
Speed and inclement weather are believed to be factors for the cause of the crash, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
