BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Many of this year's high school seniors are choosing which college they want to attend in an unconventional way; based on solo or virtual tours.

As the deadline to pick a college closes in, Boston University has tried to make the in-person tour experience more personal to help prospective students.

The school has added five information tents across campus to answer questions and provide assistance.

The tents are set up in front of the College of Communication, the George Sherman Union, the Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre and BU Beach, as well as between the Fitness and Recreation Center and Agganis Arena, according to the Dean of Students Office.

BU administration members along with student representatives will be present at each tent.

QR codes are also placed at every tent so visitors can get more information.

The tents will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from April 17 through May 1 — also known as College Decision Day.
