IPSWICH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Coast Guard is searching for a missing swimmer off of Crane Beach.
The swimmer is believed to be a 28-year-old man, according to the Coast Guard.
Ipswich Police Department were notified of the missing swimmer at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
Belongings of the alleged man were found on the beach. The man reportedly was swimming between the rocks on Crane Beach and Plum Island.
The Coast Guard announced they will be using a Jayhawk helicopter, two 47-foot boats, and local police and fire crews to search for the swimmer.
