BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Fall River robbery gone wrong.
Early Wednesday morning the Shell Gas on Plymouth Avenue was ransacked of several packs of cigarettes by an armed robber wielding a knife, but quick thinking and brave action by the clerk prevented the suspect from getting away with more.
In surveillance footage a black male can be seen entering the store and demanding the clerk hand over money in the register. "The clerk refused to comply with his demands and began using a nearby chair to create distance between he and the suspect," Fall River police said in a release.
Anyone with information is asked to call (508) 676-8511.
