WINCHESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's a scenario every cat owner dreads—when their furry friend climbs up a tree and refuses to come down.
And when ladders, treats, threats, and the fire department fail to bring the kitty down, there is only one option left: Andrew Joslin.
"I'm a cat-in-a-tree rescuer and an avid tree climber," Joslin told WBZ NewsRadio Tuesday.

The Eastern Massachusetts man has been rescuing cats from trees for close to 20 years, an endeavor born out of his love for scaling bark.
"People started calling me, 'Oh, my buddy’s cat is stuck in a tree, can you help out?'" Joslin said.
Over the years, Joslin has rescued hundreds of cats, earning a reputation as the man to call when even Animal Control gets stumped.
"There is no forethought going on here," Joslin said about cats in trees. "The cat is responding to an immediate threat."
Joslin doesn't advertise his services, or else he would be flooded with requests. As for his fee, Joslin charges $200 for a basic cat rescue, but the price is negotiable if the owner can't pay. No matter what, he never leaves a cat in a tree, even when they bite.
