Multi-Alarm Fire In Lowell Leaves One Firefighter Injured, Many Displaced

LOWELL, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A three-alarm fire in Lowell Saturday morning has left one firefighter injured.

The fire started at a three-story apartment building that had a wood frame on Cross Street. It has since been knocked down.

Thick black smoke had been seen rising from the property.

The Red Cross provided assistance to those who had been displaced from the fire. 36 people were reported to have been displaced.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
