NEWTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An eight-year-old boy nearly drowned in a pool in Newton Tuesday, the Newton Fire Department said.
The department responded to Fessenden School along with Newton Police, where the boy had been swimming. They said the school has been putting on a summer camp.
Lifeguards were able to perform CPR on the boy.
Newton Fire said the boy was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital “fully conscious and alert.”
