Plymouth Police Investigating Body Found At Nelson Park Beach

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man's body was found at Nelson Park Beach in Plymouth Saturday, authorities said.

Plymouth Police said they responded to the beach at around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a unresponsive man lying face down in the water.

Arriving officers found the victim, who looked like he had been there for some time. He was pronounced dead by EMS personnel, police said.

Plymouth Police and State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office are investigating the cause and manner of death, officials said. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.

According to police, there is no concern to the public.
