SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Salem police are investigating a crash on Highland Avenue that left a pedestrian with serious injuries on Saturday morning.
Multiple callers reported a crash at around 9 a.m. Saturday near an apartment complex at 205 Highland Ave., according to the Salem News.
Authorities said the pedestrian, a 41-year-old man, was conscious when first responders arrived. He was taken to Salem Hospital in critical condition and was later transferred to a hospital in Boston.
The driver was a 26-year-old woman from Salem who stayed at the scene of the crash, and although she has not been charged thus far, charges could be brought depending on the outcome of the investigation into what happened, the Salem News reports.
