FOXBOUROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A bonus round of train tickets to Taylor Swift's Foxborough performances didn't last longer than most of her songs— 90 seconds after tickets became available at 11 a.m. on Friday, every train from Boston was sold out.

Over 3,000 tickets were added to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Commuter Rail roster for May 20 and 21, two dates on Swift's "Eras Tour" stop in Massachusetts. According to officials, the mTicket system which is used for ticket sales reached a peak of 20,000 requests per minute once tickets became available at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Despite numerous replies to the MBTA's announcement alleging system errors, officials say mTicket operated successfully to process all purchases. Twitter users who responded saying they were locked out were told that, no, tickets just sold out that fast.

The recent round of tickets is the last too, MBTA officials say there are no more "blank spaces" on concert trains— the number of tickets available was the maximum.

"We are pleased to be able to provide this service in partnership with Gillette and hope that everyone enjoys their concert experience," the MBTA said.
