Trader Joe's Dumplings Recalled For Possible Plastic Contamination

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corporation has issued a recall for "Trader Joe's Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings," the USDA announced Saturday.

Approximately 61,839 pounds of the dumplings are being recalled because they "may be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically hard plastic from a permanent marker pen," the USDA said.

The dumplings were produced on Dec. 7, 2023. The recalled products are 6-oz. boxes with plastic trays containing six pieces of the dumplings with lot codes 03.07.25.C1-1 and 03.07.25.C1-2 and the best by date 03.07.25. They also bear the establishment number P-46009 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The USDA said there have been no reported injuries or adverse reactions due to consuming these products.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled dumplings should throw them away or return them.
