YARMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Yarmouth Police are looking the man they suspect attempted to kidnap a teenager over the weekend.
A boy showed up out of breath at a home near the Dollar General Store on Saturday, saying that someone had tried to kidnap him from the store’s parking lot.
According to the teenager, a man tried to lure him into a tan mini-van with the promise of candy. The man then allegedly extended his arm and tried to guide the boy into the van.
The teenager then ran away, uninjured.
Surveillance video showed a man that fit the description the teenage boy provided. The suspect is between 40-50 years old, and has a shaved head and a beard. He was wearing a white shirt and green shorts.
