NORWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A local artist is making the windows of Norwood into a winter wonderland.

Artist Tim Snow was at The Feisty Greek in Norwood on Monday painting a winter scene featuring WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe in a Santa hat building a snowman in the snowy hills of New England. He also painted the Grinch holding kebabs on the restaurant's front door, and a soccer star running through the snow with a kebab in hand.

About a dozen businesses hire Snow each year to decorate their windows for winter. Each window has a unique display inspired by different winter symbols and pop-culture references.

"Maybe some skaters, penguins, anything that's winter related, usually I do like a Polar Express, [I] try to make them a little big so people can see them from the street," Snow told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe.

He studied art in college and has been painting window displays as a side job for the past 15 years. He uses oversized Sharpies with acrylic paint to paint his designs.

"I did the Dunkin' Donuts in Mendon one Halloween, that was my first one and then it took off from there... local banks, car dealerships," he said.

One woman passing by The Feisty Greek praised Snow for his display saying she was very impressed with his comedic winter wonderland.
