BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Feeling the urge to work off some of that Thanksgiving stuffing? Guided hikes were available for the public to join around Massachusetts on Friday to give those seeking some exercise a chance to do so in nature.

Five guided hikes were available across the Commonwealth as a part of The Department of Conservation and Recreation's annual "Go Green on Black Friday" program.

“For those seeking to get a little exercise following the Thanksgiving holiday, DCR’s “Go Green on Black Friday” hikes provide an excellent opportunity for everyone to get outside and enjoy nature with friends and family,” Department of Conservation and Recreation Commissioner Doug Rice said in a statement. “We are excited to see the many smiling faces as thousands of people at several locations across the Commonwealth will be joining us to eagerly participate in one of the many free guided hikes offered by the Baker-Polito Administration this year.”
