STOW, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A comedian from Stow took a trip back to his old high school to offer an apology for an incident that took place when he was class president.

WBZ's Matt Shearer went along for the journey to catch up with Chris Fleming, a comedian who made Variety magazine's "10 comics to watch for" list in June, 2019.

Chris made a trip back to his old stomping grounds while in town for a stop on his tour. He will be performing at The Wilbur Theater on Saturday.

While driving through Stow, Chris and Matt drove by a gas station that promoted a memory from Chris' high school days.

"We just passed the gas station where I once as class president spent someone's class dues on my gas money," Chris said the incident led to his impeachment. "The point of me being president was so I could give a speech at graduation and I lost it."

Chris took a journey back to Nashoba Regional High School to offer an apology for his bad teenage behavior.

"I'm sorry for spending the class dues on gas money... I needed it," he yelled in the school's parking lot.

Chris began his career in comedy on YouTube where he has almost 80 million views.
