61-Year-Old Man Stabbed Multiple Times At Abington Liquor Store

ABINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Abington Police have made an arrest after a man was stabbed near a liquor store on Friday.

At around 5 p.m., a 911 caller reported someone was stabbed in the area of Rosie's Liquors and Deli located at 751 Bedford Street in Abington, officials said.

When officers arrived they found a 61-year-old man had been stabbed several times. Abington Fire Department began treating his wounds while police searched for the suspect.

With help from the department's patrol K9, Kano, officers were able to find the suspect at Vinson Blanchard Garden Apartments located at 71 Shaw Avenue, police said.

Police took 26-year-old Devon B. Pelrine into custody and recovered a knife he had on him. He was charged with Armed Assault to Murder, Armed Robbery, Assault, and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon among other charges.

Perline is set to be arraigned at the Brockton District Court.
