HUDSON, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 17-year-old girl driving in Hudson, NH, hit a business sign, plowed over a snow bank, and rammed into a gas pump while she was texting.

According to local officials, Ashleigh Dahlstrom of Londonderry smashed her Nissan Versa into the Hudson Mobile Mart gas pump just before 8 p.m., Sunday night, causing it to tip over onto another car.

Hudson Police say the teen had drifted across lanes on Derry Street, off the road and into a TD Bank North sign before completely traveling off the road, over a snow bank and into the parking lot and gas pump at the Mobile Mart. The attendant at the station was able to hit the emergency shut off switch with only a small amount of gasoline escaping.

The on scene investigation determined that Dahlstrom was texting and driving for which she received a citation.

No one was injured.
