WASHINGTON, DC (24/7 News Source) -- A pathway to citizenship for nearly two-million Dreamers is part of President Trump's new immigration plan.
Trump administration officials laid out the proposal in a call Thursday with Republican congressional staffers.
Protections for 1.8 million immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children would satisfy demands from Democrats.
In exchange, the Trump administration wants $25-billion-dollars to fund a border wall.
The White House is also demanding an end to a diversity visa lottery system and an end to "chain migration," which allows family members of immigrants to move to the U.S.
