Cape Cod Dealing With Brunt of Nor'Easter

SANDWICH, MA (WBZ-AM) -- Pounding surf, high waves, churning up foam off Town Neck Beach in Sandwich.

Pelting rain, and driving winds. Mother nature's spectacle brought out the weather watchers to experience mother nature first hand.

"We're enjoying mother nature...we're weather geeks," said a weather watcher on the beach in Sandwich.

And there were plenty of waves to watch, churning the water to white foam.

Water from Cape Cod Bay flooded the boardwalk section of town, sending water into backyards and parking lots near Route 6A.

Winds as high as hurricane force knocked out power to thousands of Eversource electric customers scattered across the Cape and Islands.

Parts of town flooded, including the boardwalk area, and some backyards and parking lots.
