CAMBRIDGE, MA (WBZ-AM) -- The Harvard Sailing Center on Memorial Drive has suffered structural damage and Massachusetts State Police say it appears to be collapsing, at least partially, into the Charles River.
The structure is actually a barge that houses sailboats, canoes and kayaks. The right side of the barge facing facing Memorial is under 3 feet under water.
One lane of Memorial Drive is closed for emergency response.
WBZ NewsRadio1030's Kim Tunnicliffe described the sinking barge.
"You can see bubbles in the water from where the barge is flooding," she said.
