MA Offices for Non-Emergency State Exec. Branch Employees Closed Thursday

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Due to the ongoing effects of the second nor’easter to hit Massachusetts in a week, Governor Charlie Baker has announced that all offices for non-emergency state executive branch employees will be closed Thursday, March 8.

Baker made the announcement early Thursday morning via Twitter:

Due to prolonged impacts of the ongoing winter storm, Governor Charlie Baker is announcing that all offices for non-emergency state executive branch employees will be closed today. #MAsnow

 

The governor also urged residents to stay off roadways and use public transportation when possible.

Overnight, heavy snowfall and high winds have resulted in hazardous driving conditions. With several communities experiencing power outages and downed trees, the administration is urging residents to stay off roadways and to use public transportation when possible. #MAsnow
