Tornado Warnings In Effect in NH Coos and Grafton County

LINCOLN, NH (WBZ-AM) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of Grafton and Coos County in New Hampshire until 4:30PM Monday.

They say that at 3:24PM EDT, "a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles northwest of Lincoln, moving east at 30 mph." and that radar indicated possible rotation.


Locations impacted include In addition I-93 between miles markers 99 and 109. 

The communities of Lincoln, Franconia, Woodstock, Benton, Easton, Waterville Valley, Livermore, Landaff and Thornton. Franconia Notch, Franconia Ridge, AMC Lonesome Lake Hut, South Kinsman Mountain, and Mount Flume.  

They advised that residents in the area should seek shelter by  movibng to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and  avoiding windows. 

If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
