LAWRENCE (WBZ-AM) -- An 81-year-old man is home from the hospital Wednesday, recovering after being robbed and beaten--all for just seven dollars.
It was a couple of painful days for Rafael Castellanos of Lawrence. Through a translator, he talked to WBZ-TV about the man who attacked him early Sunday morning while going out for a walk, something he does every day.
"He said, 'Give me your money.' I told him I don't have money, he told me, 'Give me your wallet, or we're going to have problems'," Castellanos said.
Castellanos, who now has a black eye with stitches around it, said the man who attacked him was desperate and high. Police arrested a suspect in the case.
