Cardinal Says St. John's Seminary Will Be Investigated

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM)--Cardinal Sean O'Malley says he's unable to either verify or dispute on-line claims of inappropriate behavior at St. John's seminary.

The claims, including sexual misconduct and alcohol abuse, were made by two former seminarians from the school.

O'Malley did announce that  St. John's rector, Monsignor James Moroney, will go on sabbatical leave for the fall semester while there is a "fully independent inquiry."

The Archbishop of Boston did say the accusations were a "source of serious concern."
