Old City Hall In Boston Catches Fire

BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM)---A  fire in a Boston landmark scrambled firefighters early Saturday morning. The basement of the Old City Hall at 45 School St. was alight with smoke pouring out of windows when the Boston Fire Department arrived on scene around 3:37am. The one-alarm fire was contained and the building was not occupied at the time. According to fire officials there were no injuries and damages to the property are estimated to be around $150,000. the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Old City Hall, which was finished in 1865, is a stop on the Boston Freedom Trail. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
