Foxboro V.F.W. Ransacked

FOXBORO, MA  (WBZ-AM)--The Foxboro V.F.W., Post 2626, was torn apart by thieves who got away with eight thousand dollars in cash meant for charities such as  St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Toys for Tots, the Foxboro food pantry and homeless vets. The miscreants broke apart the cash register, the lottery machine, and the jukebox looking for loot.

Post Commander Warren Wright told WBZ-TV “We donate everything we make and for someone to break-in, it was like they broke into our home.” Volunteers are repairing the damage and police are investigating.

Donations to help can be made to: VFW Post 2626; 337 Cocasset St. Foxboro, MA 02035. The post is currently collecting sweatshirts and sweatpants for homeless vets.
