QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ-AM) — A committee will meet Saturday night in Quincy to determine whether Sunday’s Christmas parade will be cancelled due to bad weather. Currently, the parade will still be happening.

The parade is slated to start 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Mark Carey, a representative from Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s office, said the parade will be moved to next weekend if cancelled.

“Tomorrow is one of the biggest Christmas parades in the country. It’s been going on for 60 years now. So, we’re really excited about that,” Carey said.

Events will also take place Saturday night, including live music at the Hancock-Adams Common from 2-7 p.m.
