WAREHAM, Mass. (WBZ-AM) — The opening of Wareham’s first pot shop has been delayed. The shop, Verilife, was originally slated to open Tuesday. The opening date has not been confirmed.
“If something glitches, if something comes up, they may get delayed until Thursday. We are also trying to get with [the Massachusetts Department of Transportation] to allow us to put five signs up along the highway for directing traffic where they have to go,” Wareham Selectman Alan Salvin said.
The opening of the pot shop in Wareham is expected to bring significant public interest.
There currently are pot shops in Northampton, Leicester, and Salem.
