Emerson Student Killed in Accident Becomes Organ Donor

BOSTON, MA  (WBZ-AM)--Emerson College Student Lucas Flint was killed this week after he was hit by a car in Braintree. He was found in the street and taken to the hospital where he later died. But his story does not end there. Lucas was an organ donor and doctors were able to save five of them.

The twenty-one year old was within a mile of his home walking home from the MBTA station along Washington Street early Saturday morning after work. He never made it. A driver who fled the scene of the accident was caught and charged. Now Lucas's mom says says because of the organ donations, part of her son is still in the world. She hopes to someday meet each one of the organ recipients and tell them about Lucas.
