BOSTON, MA (WBZ-AM) — While the Boston Celtics were getting blown out by the Rockets last night, the Knicks were suffering through an ugly outing of their own in Milwaukee, but this one was strange.
The general rule of thumb for an athlete: Know what's happening around you, right?
Well, New York's Enes Kanter and Milwaukee stud Giannis Antetokounmpo got nose-to-nose early in the fourth quarter.
"I just stopped him and didn't even call a foul. So we got into a little bit my eye was bleeding and so I needed stitches " Kanter said.
Kanter didn't return the last 10 minutes of the game, and there's a reason for that - and it wasn't his need for three stitches.
Turns out that caught him off-guard, too.
"I got ejected really?, Doing what? I mean I guess you got to respect the refs but I was getting my eye sitched up...but I got ejected. Ok cool, " he said.
Maybe not that cool.
