LITCHFIELD, N.H. (WBZ-AM) — Surveillance video in New Hampshire spotted two coyotes chasing and attacking a pit bull.

In the video, the pit bull is seen to make it safely into the home after struggling to run away from the coyotes.

This is not the first incident of a coyote reportedly attacking a pet. In November, coyotes attacked two poodles in Wayland, according to the Boston Globe.  In the same month, a dog was reportedly killed in Newton, Mass. by a coyote, according to CBS

Coyote sightings have become common in New England. According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, coyotes now live in every county in the state. Although, the first coyote sighting in New Hampshire was not until 1944.

Coyotes are also common across Massachusetts, with the exception of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. According to the state of Massachusetts, coyotes can live in rural, suburban, and urban areas.

The Lowell Sun reported in late October that there has been an increase in coyote sightings in Billerica, Mass
