MOAB, UT (WBZ-AM) – Three off-duty first responders from Medford save the life of a hiker in Utah. The unidentified victim suffered a heart attack near the Delicate Arch Trail last week just as vacationing Billy Young, Brogan O’Hara, and Chris Wells of the Medford firefighters local 1032 happened by the hiking trail.  Wells, Young and his wife, a registered nurse gave CPR while Brogan and a friend went in search of a cell signal to call 9-1-1.

Because of their efforts, the patient had a pulse again by the time county EMS and Park Service Rangers arrived. He was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition but alive.
