Frostbitten Pet Rabbits Left Behind Up For Adoption

HYANNIS, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — The MSPCA says three pet rabbits found frostbitten and huddling together under a car in Hyannis are recovering, and ready for new forever homes.

All three were found and rescued in January, in the Whole Foods parking lot by the Barnstable Animal Control Officer.

They were underweight, and losing fur in the winter cold.MSPCA Officials say that it’s very likely they would not have survived another night out in the cold.

One of them was sent to Nevins Farm in Methuen for eye surgery.

Today the rabbits—now named “Tempeh,” “Seitan” and “Jackfruit”— have all turned the corner, and the agency says they're available for adoption.
