NORWOOD (WBZNewsRadio) - While many Massachusetts cities and towns begin their winter parking bans on December 1st, the town of Norwood's overnight winter parking ban has been in effect since November 15th.

Residents in a snow-less Norwood believe the ban went into effect too early in the season.

"They tow your car away, but for what reason? There's no snow!" One resident told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe.

"It makes sense when there is a safety hazard, and it should probably be specifically when there is snow or when there is a restriction for driving." Another resident said.

But not everyone is throwing shade on the town's decision.

"You don't know what the weather's going to be, especially now-a-days, climate change, we maybe could have a lot of snow very shortly." One resident said.

The ban will last until April 1st, 2023.
