BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — La CASA, Boston's new $33 million arts and community center celebrated its grand opening recently.
U.S. Senator Ed Markey, State Rep. John Moran, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, and Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn were among the event's speakers and guests.
Nearly 200 people attended the event held in the four-story, 26,435 square-foot center located in Boston’s Villa Victoria neighborhood.
The multi-day event featured a ribbon cutting ceremony, live performances, public open houses, arts programming, and community events.
La CASA is now the largest Latino cultural center in New England and a permanent home for Latino arts, culture, activism, and community-building while showcasing the center’s role as a new regional destination for cultural programming and civic engagement.
