Cohasset Police Search For Driver In Hit-And-Run That Killed Dog

COHASSET, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Cohasset Police Department issued an information-gathering advisory and video of a vehicle that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run that injured and killed a dog at the intersection of Pond Street and Clay Spring Road at around 7:55 Monday morning.

On Tuesday, the CPD shared a video of the suspected vehicle, a 2011 to 2022 white Jeep Cherokee model with chrome trim, from a resident's surveillance camera.

The dog suffered major injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead on scene, the CPD said— as of Tuesday morning the driver of the offending vehicle has not come forward.

Police say the vehicle likely sustained damage in the collision.
