FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — After banning cannabis retail stores, Foxborough is now also moving to stop home delivery of the drug.
The city is requesting a two-year waiver from the state after the select board voted unanimously to use a new state option that allows prohibition towns to block deliveries through the Cannabis Control Commission.

Supporters of the waiver say it keeps the town consistent with its earlier voter-approved stance against the businesses. At the same time, critics raise concerns about fairness, accessibility, and how delivery enforcement would work under the new rules.
Officials have yet to decide how they will enforce the rules regarding the delivery of marijuana edibles and gummies, as DoorDash already offers the service.
