FOXBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Stadium in Foxboro is set to host the Iraq vs. Norway World Cup match on Tuesday, its second match of the tournament, and many fans said they can't wait.
It has been a long time since either team has played in the World Cup. Norway last played in 1998, 28 years ago, and Iraq hasn't played since 1986, 40 years ago.
"I've never seen Iraq in the World Cup before in all my life," one Iraq fan said.
Norway fans said they felt confident in their chances of winning, especially with Erling Haaland, one of Europe's best strikers, making his World Cup debut.
“I think today he will come out in full force," one Norway fan said.

Iraq fans were not feeling as confident, but they do believe that if their team gives it their all, they can pull through as underdogs. Some even said that getting a tie would be enough of a win.
The Iraq-Norway match is happening at 6 p.m. at Boston Stadium. Other World Cup matches held on Tuesday include France vs. Senegal at 3 p.m. at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, and Argentina vs. Algeria at 9 p.m. at Kanas City Stadium.
There will be five more matches held at Boston Stadium during the tournament, including Scotland vs. Morocco on June 19, England vs. Ghana on June 23, and Norway vs. France on June 26.
