CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man accused of sexually assaulting two women inside of a Plant Fitness in Porter Square pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday, Oct. 2.
Laquan Holland is facing two counts of assault to rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, one kidnapping charge. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf in Cambridge District Court.
On Oct. 1, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in progress at the Planet Fitness early Thursday morning, wherein police spoke to two victims that claimed Holland inappropriately touched them inside of the locker room.
According to legal filings, Holland pleaded guilty to two counts of child rape and one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 in 2006. Holland was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in August.
He is due back in court on Oct. 16 for a dangerousness hearing, which will determine whether Holland is eligible to post bail.
