Man Suspected In Marshfield Double Homicide Is Arrested In Florida

MIAMI BEACH, FL (WBZ NewsRadio) — The man suspected of killing a senior couple in Marshfield was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida Saturday morning.

According to Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation records, 27-year-old Christopher Keeley of Weymouth was brought into police custody for an out-of-state fugitive warrant at around 6 a.m. on Saturday. The arrest warrant filed by the Plymouth District Court, sought Keeley for the double homicide of Carl and Vicki Mattson in their own home in Marshfield.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said in a statement that the Mattsons had been stabbed and bludgeoned to death.

Keeley was wanted in connection to a grizzly double homicide that was discovered on November 29. Since then, police across multiple agencies have been working to locate Keeley, who was last seen driving a black 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Police say Keeley was acquaintance with the Mattsons, and that the murder does not appear to be a random act of violence.
