BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The identify of the Marine allegedly involved in the death of Emerson College sophomore Daniel Hollis last month has been revealed.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves named Lance Corporal Samuel London, a reservist in the 25th Marine Regiment at Fort Devens, Mass., as the man involved in a fight in Allston on Sept. 28, that left 19-year-old Hollis with serious brain injuries. Hollis died in the hospital four days later.

In a statement, officials say the Marine Corps is aware of the circumstances surrounding LCPL London and they are fully cooperating with authorities. It goes on to say London is, "currently being processed for administrative separation."

London, who had been called up to active duty, was on pre-deployment leave at the time of the fight outside a late-night party. There is potential surveillance video of Hollis getting punched, and then falling and hitting his head on the concrete.

The Boston Police Department and Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office continue to investigate the death as a homicide. No charges have been filed as of yet.
