EVERETT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police arrested a man they say is connected to a fatal shooting outside of a hookah bar in Everett early Saturday morning.

Charles Demos, 29, was arrested in Seabrook, N.H. on Sunday.

Jarrod Harris, 47, and a woman were leaving a hookah bar — Karma Lounge — around 1 a.m. when the two had a physical altercation with several other people, which allegedly included Demos.

The Middlsex District Attorney's Office said Demos allegedly retrieved a gun from a car that was parked nearby and "pursued Harris, firing the gun multiple times and striking Harris twice."

Witnesses of the incident "attempted to intervene and render first aid," according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

The man was later pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.

Demos is suspected of fleeing the scene in a Volkswagen Passat. He was identified by authorities, and was arrested at a home in Seabrook on a fugitive from justice charge.

The resident of the home, Joshua Demos, was also arrest, but on an unrelated charge.

Charles Demos is expected to be arraigned on Monday in Rockingham County District Court. And then will be arraigned in Malden District Court at a later date as part of a Massachusetts warrant for his arrest.

The shooting is still currently under investigation.
