WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A woman who was stabbed at a restaurant in Worcester has died.
The incident occurred Wednesday night at O’Connor’s Restaurant and Bar on West Boylston Street.
Police said a man, carrying two knives, walked into the restaurant and stabbed the woman.
Several other people jumped in to try and stop the attacker. One of them also suffered a stab wound.
The suspect — 28-year-old Carlos Asencio, of Derry, N.H. — has been arrested. He is facing multiple charges including murder and resisting arrest.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
According to police, Asencio and the woman had previously dated.
