BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Tall Ship has been transformed into a winter wonderland in Boston.

You can now skate with a view of the harbor on The Rink at the Tall Ship, which is open for business ahead of its grand opening next month. Tall Ship is a popular spot to grab a drink and hang out in the summer, but now the goal is to stay open throughout the cold season. Sal Boscarino, the president of Navy Yard Hospitality and the Tall Ship Boston, says he is thrilled to be able to transform the seasonal business.

"We're really excited to be open. We have a full ice rink with a skate path, ice bumper cars, a lot of food and beverage stations for people, and it's just a great scene here this weekend."

There are also igloos, chalet lounges, and different food huts for attendees to enjoy.

"And we're going to keep adding different elements, different amenities, some heating areas where people can warm up and have drinks and beverages and food, as well as we're bringing a big LED screen here where people can watch sporting games."

The Rink is open to enjoy until the end of March.
