BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The country's longest government shutdown is expected to end soon, but travelers at Boston Logan Airport are still concerned about cancellations and delays ahead of Thanksgiving.
"I have a really quick trip for work, so I have a very tight window to get out there, do what I need to do and then get back," Cayce, a traveler from New Hampshire, said.
"I'm trying to just stay positive about it, but I have been checking constantly for the last week and hoping that nothing has changed," Cayce said.
Kiersten, a Hingham resident, said "I don't think I've ever looked at the flight information as much as I have [recently]."
For those travelling in a hurry, needing to get to their destination on time has them taking extra precautions.
"I need to get there today, but hopefully everything is on time, I have a backup flight just in case," one said.
Some travelers haven't experienced delays yet but are worried that will change.
"[it is] tragic, what's happening with our nation, but I haven't been inconvenienced, yet," Justin, a California resident, said.
"This moment it's looking good, I flew out Sunday too and did have a couple hours delay then but I've been able to take off no problem," another said.
